Wolter Joins Eagles

Asbury University Volleyball Coach JP Rader has announced the signing of Catherine Wolter for the 2010 season.  Wolter a 6’0 middle blocker from Huntersville, N.C. will add needed depth to the middle for the Eagles.

Wolter is set to graduate from South Lake Christian Academy in June after four years of varsity action under coach Rachel Noreika.  Wolter was a two-time All State selection, two-time All-Conference selection, and twice named to the All-Conference Tournament team.  She was also named to the Charlotte Weekly and The Lake Norman Herald Weekly’s Super Teams twice, these teams are selections of the top ten players in the Charlotte area.

Not only a standout on the court, Wolter’s leadership was recognized by being a finalist for the Super Bowl Breakfast Student-Athlete Leadership award.  She was one of three finalists for the award.  Wolter was also on the A/B Honor Roll and a member of the Beta Club.  She also played basketball for South Lake Christian.
