Coach Rader had this to say about the incoming freshman, "Mackenzie is an outstanding student-athlete that we are thrilled to have in our 2010 recruiting class.  She is an excellent setter who will improve our overall defense as well as direct our attack."

Burke will be looked at to replace outgoing senior Julia Armstrong as the team's setter.  At Lafayette Burke was named All-City 1st team as a senior and All-City 2nd team as a sophomore and junior.  She was also awarded the 110% award, team MVP, and the Team Comes 1st Award.  She's not just a gifted athlete as she was on the Athletic Honor Roll all four years.

Asbury finished 24-14 overall in 2009 with a 6-2 mark in the KIAC.  The Eagles finished second in the KIAC Tournament after a third place finish in the regular season.  Asbury also competed in the NCCAA Mid-East Regional for only the 2nd time in school history.
