Volleyball Loses on Weekend
Danville, KY---The Asbury College volleyball struggled over the weekend, losing three times to three NCAA III schools at Centre College's Halloween Bash. The Eagles lost 1-3 to the host Colonels, 1-3 to College of Mount St. Joseph, and 0-3 to Washington and Lee University.
Asbury (23-14) was led by Ellen Adkison's 26 kills, including 13 against Mount St. Joseph. Junior Julia Armstrong had a big day with 42 assists in the three matches, including 24 against Washington and Lee University. Hannah Wheeler had 40 digs from the back line on the day, Adkison led the team with 43 digs.
Asbury returns home for the final time this season on Tuesday November 4th, when they take on Campbellsville University at 8pm. The Eagles will travel to Richmond, Indiana on Saturday November 8th to battle IU-East for the top spot at next week's conference tournament.
