Eagles fall to Campbellsville
Wilmore, KY--- The Asbury College volleyball team suffered their fourth straight loss on Tuesday night to #20 Campbellsville University 3-1. This marks Asbury's second four game losing streak of the season.
Asbury (23-15) was led by senior Ellen Adkison's 10 kills, junior Christina Marye had eight of her own and no errors. Sophomore Lauren Budde had seven kills, while Emily and Abby Andrews had four each. Budde also had two solo blocks and one assisted block to lead the team.
Junior Julia Armstrong had 18 assists and Emily Andrews had 15, as the pair split time in the setter position. Sophomore Hannah Wheeler was very impressive on defense coming up with 20 digs against a very hard-hitting Tiger team.
The Eagles have two more regular season matches remaining. They will travel to Richmond, Indiana on Saturday to take on KIAC foe Indiana University East with the regular season conference title on the line. The Eagles will then travel to Union College next Tuesday November 11th before the KIAC Tournament opens up November 14th at Midway College.
