Adkison Named KIAC Player of the Week for 3rd Time

Adkison was named KIAC Player of the Week for the week of November 10-16. This is the 3rd time this season Adkison has recieved the honor. She was also named KIAC Player of the Year.

Wilmore, KY---Asbury College Senior outside hitter Ellen Adkison was named KIAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of November 10-16. This is the third time Adkison has won the award this season. Adkison was named Conference Player of the Year during the KIAC Tournament, which she helped lead the Eagles to their first ever victory, and a spot in the NAIA Volleyball National Championship for the first time.

Adkison had 46 kills, 49 digs, and five total blocks in four matches this past week, helping Asbury to a 3-1 record. She had nine kills and only one error in the KIAC Championship match against IU-East on Saturday. Adkison is the programs all-time leader in digs with 1,695, and is second in kills with 1,597. She also places in the top five in service aces, solo blocks, assisted blocks, and total blocks.
