Volleyball Wins on Senior Day

Wilmore, KY---The Asbury College volleyball team beat Kentucky Christian University 3-0 on Saturday, part of homecoming weekend and senior day for the volleyball team. Asbury honored Ellen Adkison, Abby Andrews, Katie Lee, and assistant coach Mike Rumschik who is leaving the program after this year.

Asbury (15-8) was in control from the beginning, running up big leads early in all three games before the Lady Knights rallied to make it close. The game scores were 25-15, 25-18, 25-13.
With their parents in the crowd, the seniors did not disappoint. Adkison once again led the team, this time with 12 kills and 10 digs. Andrews had three kills in only five attacks, and Lee added six digs.

Freshmen Lindsay Ibold had seven kills, no errors, and 3 total blocks. Sophomore Emily Andrews had 13 assists and five kills. Junior Julia Armstrong had 13 assists as well.
Asbury will host Kentucky State University Tuesday at 7pm in the Luce Center. The Eagles defeated the Thorobreds 3-0 in Frankfort earlier this season.
