Armstrong had 38 assists and 26 digs in Asbury's 3-0 victory over Centre College

Asbury (20-10) played without two regular starters in sophomore Emily Andrews (illness) and freshmen Lindsay Ibold (ankle).  Junior Christina Marye had 10 kills and no errors, including five kills in the third game.  Marye also had one solo block and three block assists.  Senior Ellen Adkison led the team with 11 kills, and also had 19 digs.

Junior Julia Armstrong was forced to play the entire match as the only setter with Andrews out, and Armstrong played well.  Julia had 38 assists, 26 digs, and three service aces, all which led the team.  The 38 assists are one more than Andrews had earlier this season against Baldwin-Wallace and ties Melissa Phillips for the 5th most all-time in school history for a single match.  The 26 digs are tied for the  2nd most is school history with Adksion's 26 this year against Kentucky State and only trails Adkison's 29 back in 2006.  Asbury's 93 team digs is the 3rd most in school history.

Asbury lost twice over the weekend both to NCAA III teams, falling to Manchester 3-1 and Transylvania 3-0.

The Eagles will hit the road during fall break and travel to Milligan College (TN) on Friday night for two matches.  The first match is against the University of the Cumberlands at 5pm and against Milligan at 7pm.  Asbury will also travel to Kentucky Christian next Tuesday before returning home to face Midway in a non-KIAC contest at 7pm.
