Eagles Sweep by KCU

Grayson, KY---The Asbury College volleyball team defeated Kentucky Christian University 3-0 for the second time this season on Tuesday night.  The Eagles took down KCU 25-13, 25-20, 25-17 and improved their overall record to 22-11.  

Asbury was led by senior  Ellen Adksion and her 13 kills,  she also led the team with 18 digs.  Christian Marye and Jordan Rust each had five kills, Marye added four assisted blocks and one solo block.  Rust had one solo and one assisted block of her own.  

Emily Andrews led the team with 17 assists and Julia Armstrong added nine of her own.  Andrews also had three of Asbury's seven service aces.  Hannah Wheeler had 16 digs from the back line. 

Asbury will close out the month of October by hosting Midway in a non-KIAC match on Thursday October 30th at 7pm.  The Eagles have gone 9-3 this month.  Asbury beat Midway earlier this season at Midway 3-0.
