Eagles Down Bearcats

Wilmore, KY---The Asbury College volleyball team improved to 6-1 at home with a win over conference opponent Brescia 3-0 Thursday night. The Eagles took control of each game early but got a scare late in game two, game scores were 25-11, 25-20, 25-15.

Asbury improved to 14-8 overall and 3-0 in the KIAC with a 3-0 win over Brescia.

Asbury (14-8, 3-0) was led once again by senior outside hitter Ellen Adkison who had 12 kills and eight digs on defense. Junior Christina Marye had seven kills and two solo blocks. Freshmen Lindsay Ibold continues to play well in her first season, recording six kills and no errors in ten attacks, sophomore Lauren Budde also had six kills.

Sophomore setter Emily Andrews had her second 30 assist match, recording 31 last night. Andrews also had three kills and one service ace. Senior Katie Lee led the team with five service aces, that gives her 31 on the season which also leads the team.

Asbury will host Kentucky Christian University Saturday October 4th at 2pm for senior day. Katie Lee, Ellen Adkison and Abby Andrews will be honored before the game.
