Eagles fall in opener at IUS, 3-0
Asbury opened its season on the road at Indiana-Southeast, losing in 3 games to the Lady Grenadiers, 30-13, 30-27, and 30-26. The Eagles registered 18 kills for the entire match, led by sophomore Danielle Morrison with six kills. Morrison and freshman Emily Andrews would lead the team in digs with seven a piece. Freshman Jenelle McClean served up 12 assists.
The loss drops the team to 0-1 in KIAC play and 0-1 overall. They will next take to the court for three matches on Saturday at home in the AC Quad. Opponents coming into town are Cumberland (Tenn.), Oakland City (Ind.), and Shawnee State (Ohio). The first round of games are set to begin at 12:00 p.m.
