Asbury Softball Drops Two to Point Park
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Asbury softball lost twice to Point Park on Friday evening, 9-1 and 10-0 as both games ended in five innings. The Eagles fall to 12-22 overall and 9-11 in league play while Point Park improves to 23-11 and 16-6.
Asbury never led in either game but were tied after 3.5 innings in game one at 1-1. Point Park flexed their muscle after that, hitting two home runs in game one and three more in game two. Asbury managed just three hits in the two games combined. Three errors on the day led to six total unearned runs given up by Eagles pitchers.
The Eagles will close out their road trip with a doubleheader at Carlow on Saturday.
