No. 11 Lee Too Much for Softball Eagles

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Asbury softball was swept by the 11th ranked Lady Flames from Lee University on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles lost 19-0 and 23-1 as Lee belted four home runs in the two games.
Asbury (1-5) scored their only run of the game in the first inning of game two as Sarah Patrick drove in Madi Adair from second with a one-out single. The Eagles left two on in the inning and five in the game. Lee pounded out 27 hits in the second game and 18 in the first. The Eagles were limited to three hits on the day.
The Eagles are scheduled to open up the home slate on Tuesday at 5 pm against Cumberlands (Ky.) in a doubleheader.
