Softball Opens With Two Losses at Lindsey Wilson
COLUMBIA, Ky. – Asbury softball was shutout in their season opening doubleheader, 8-0 and 10-0 against No. 14 Lindsey Wilson on Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles failed to get a hit in either game as they played without four starters.

Kelsey Robinson got the start in the circle in game one, allowing 10 hits and eight runs while walking four. Her counterpart in the game, Lauren Seibert tossed a no-hitter. Seibert walked three and struck out 10. In game two Asbury’s Ashleigh West allowed 11 hits, 10 runs but only four earned, while striking out three. The Blue Radiers’ Cara Law and Jordan Hood combined to throw a no-hitter as well in game two, striking out 10.
Asbury is scheduled to open their home schedule on Saturday as they welcome in Taylor University for a doubleheader at 1 p.m.
