Softball Program Moving in a New Direction

WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University softball program will move in a new direction for the 2011-12 season as Athletics Director Gary Kempf announced Wednesday that coach Larry McCullough will not be returning.
 
“We want to thank Larry for his contribution and effort to reinstate the program four years ago,” said Kempf.  “We are excited and look forward to the next chapter in the softball program.”
 
Assistant Athletics Director Ron Anderson has been named interim softball coach while the search process for a permanent coach takes place.  Anderson will also serve as the interim athletics director starting June 7 and ending on July 1 when new Athletics Director Mark Perdue assumes responsibilities.
