Robinson Earns KIAC Pitcher of the Week Honors
Asbury University sophomore Kelsey Robinson was named the KIAC softball pitcher of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 25th.
Robinson had a historic day for Asbury when they defeated Alice Lloyd College 12-0 on April 19th. She delivered the school’s first perfect game. The sophomore hurler pitched all five innings and struck out five Alice Lloyd batters. Robinson has a record of 4-2 on the season with a conference-leading earned run average of 1.80. She ranks sixth in NAIA Division I in total hits allowed (36) and is tenth in total earned runs allowed (13).
Asbury is second in the conference with a record of 14-4, 17-10 overall. They’re scheduled doubleheader against Brescia on Tuesday has been postponed with a makeup date yet to be determined.
