Harreld, Drury Named KIAC Player's of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 8th, 2010) The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is proud to announce Player of the Week honors for March 1st- March 7th in Softball.      

Softball Pitcher of the Week: Maris Harreld, Asbury College 

Maris Harreld was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for March 1st-March 7th.  Harreld is a 5-9 freshman pitcher from Brandenburg, Kentucky.  Only one runner scored on the week while she was on the mound in 10 innings pitched. Harreld threw a shut out in a win over Midway College.

Softball Player of the Week: Miranda Drury, Asbury College

Miranda Drury was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for March 1st-March 7th. Drury is a 5-4 sophomore third baseman from Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.  She went 6 for 11 with seven runs in four games played this week.  In the second game against Alice Lloyd College, she went 4 for 4 with 6 RBI’s.
