Eagles Drop Finale In Alabama

Decatur, AL - The Asbury College softball team finished pool play at the NAIA National Championship on Monday morning with their closest contest, a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Morningside College (Iowa).

Asbury once again struggled offensively against the Mustangs only coming up with one hit in the game, that hit came off the bat of April Lancaster.  Carrie Wilderman pitched six strong innings giving up only five hits but saw her record drop to 17-12.

The Eagles finished the year with the most wins in school history with a 24-15 record.  Asbury also won the KIAC for the first time.
