Robinson First Softball Player to Sign for '09
Wilmore, KY---The Asbury College Athletics Department along with Softball Head Coach Larry McCullough are pleased to announce the signing of Kelsey Robinson, a senior at Conner High School in Petersburg, Kentucky.
Robinson, a 5'11 right-handed pitcher, is well known around northern Kentucky for her elite performance on the mound. Robinson has been a member of the varsity squad

since the 7th grade and has enjoyed numerous achievements and awards. Among the awards are: Cincinnati Enquirer First Team All Star, Northern Kentucky Coaches Association Second Team, 33rd District All Tournament Team, 9th Region All Tournament Team, Bulldog Bash All Tournament Team. Robinson was also named at the Best Sportsmanship Student Athlete by the Boone County School Board.
In 2008 Robinson led Conner with a 20-13 record with a 1.38 ERA in 227 innings. She struck out 247 while only walking 21. She also threw eight shutouts and one no-hitter. During her time at Conner the Cougars were District 33 Runners-Up three times and Region 9 Runners-Up three times.
Coach McCullough is very excited with the signing of such a talented player. "She is an overly dominate pitcher with great speed and precise movement; both of which compliment each other and will aide her to become an immediate threat on the mound at this level." Robinson is the first player Coach McCullough has signed for the Class of 2009.
