Women's Basketball fall to Marian, 78-71
Eagles attempted rally from 18 down comes up short in 78-71 loss to Marian College on Tuesday night. Asbury put three players in double figures with Anna Stephenson's 19, Lindsey Wood's 17, and Brittany Abbott's 16. Sophomore guard Sarah Yates stepped back into the point guard role with Lauren Lee being out due to injury and dished seven assists.
Asbury wouldn't however, have an answer for Jessica Carr of Marian who scored 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field and 4-of-6 from the line.
The loss drops Asbury to 3-2 on the season with their next game coming on Tuesday, November 20th against Transylvania (Ky.). Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and can be heard on WACW , Asbury's official station for Eagle sports.
