Athletics announces end of the year awards

WILMORE, KY—Asbury College Athletics honored several student-athletes at their end of the year banquet in May.

Gamble /Walker Outstanding Senior Athlete Award – This award is given to senior athlete who demonstrates outstanding athletic ability, academic success and leadership both athletically and spiritually.
Men—Andrew Lesch-Wragge (Soccer)
Women—Kerry Hancock (Swimming/Diving)

Frank B. and Lucille Fryman Endowed Scholarship – This award is given to student-athlete who demonstrates excellence as an athlete, is a strong Christian witness, has a servant attitude and has shown strong leadership qualities.
Men—Joshua Appel (Soccer)
Women—Lindsey Wood (Basketball)

Cecil C. Zweifel Endowed Scholarship – This award is given to the student-athlete who has a 3.0 GPA or higher and has contributed greatly to his/her team athletically.
Men—Bradley Huster (Swimming/Diving)
Women—Melissa Waterman (Cross Country)

Rita Pritchett Award for Academic Excellence – This award is given to the senior student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA.
Men—Matthew Olsen (Tennis)
Women—Melissa Phillips (Volleyball)

Eagle Award – This honor is an annual recognition an individual, business, organization, or group who has shown continuing and visible support for the athletic department, and gives careful consideration to those who are dedicated to the development of character and excellence in young men and women in athletics.

Mr. Clay Corman of Nicholasville, Ky., received this award for his recent contributions to the soccer field restoration and the indoor arena construction.
