Jarred Miller begins his fourth season at the helm of the Asbury Eagles Men’s Tennis program and second on the women's side during the 2011-12 seasons. Miller, originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, has trained in academies in Moscow, Russia; Melbourne, Australia; London, England; and Florida.

In only his first year at the helm of the women's program, Miller led the Eagles to a school-record 18 wins and the program's first trip to the NCCAA National Tournament.  The Eagles also finished tied for second in the KIAC with a 9-3 league mark, also the best in school history and was named KIAC Women's Coach of the Year for the 2010-11 season.

Miller became the third coach in three years when he took over the men's program in 2009.  Since that time he has reshaped the roster and brought stability to the program.  After posting a 3-13 record in his first year, Miller has guided the Eagles to records of 7-6 and 8-5 in his last two seasons.  Those 15 wins the last two seasons are the most since the 2003 and 2004 teams won 18 combined matches.

Miller has been active in his involvement in both the ITF and USTA circuits serving various tournament committees. He was a member of the tournament committee for the ITF Grade 1 Junior International Tournament in Lexington over the past seven years, a tournament that has featured Maria Sharapova, Melanie Oudin, Marin Cilic, and Caroline Wozniacki. Miller was also part of the level 3 National USTA tournament that runs concurrently with the ITF Grade 1.

In 2008 Miller was selected to attend the USTA National Tournament Director’s Conference in Dallas, Texas. He is also a certified USTA official and tournament referee. A University of Kentucky graduate in 2006 with a degree in Physiology, Miller will be starting a new Master’s program in 2010.

As a world traveler, Miller learned to speak four different languages: Afrikaans, Finnish, Russian, and English. He enjoys learning new languages and cultures in his spare time and looks forward to returning to Kanakuk Kamps in the summer of 2010 after spending three months there in the summer of 2009. He has no children except the ten currently on his roster.
