Eagles Fall to No. 19 Campbellsville

WILMORE, Ky. – Asbury tennis fell to No. 19 Campbellsvile 8-1 on Monday afternoon as the Eagles fall back to 5-5 on the season.  Asbury will begin KIAC play on Saturday at Indiana Southeast.

The Eagles lone match win came in number one doubles as Nathan Schley and Scott Layton defeated Carlos Anton and Pablo Numbela 8-5.  The duo of Schley and Layton improve to 8-2 on the season, the best record of any doubles team.  Campbellsville took number two and three doubles 8-4 each.

In singles play Layton lost at number two in a third set tiebreak 6-1, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6) to Sebastian Marot.  Every other singles match went Campbellsville’s way in two sets.
