UPDATED: Swimmers Put on Hold at ASC Championships
UPDATE: Thursday's prelims and finals were called due to substantial snowfall in the Christianburg, Va., area. Tentatively the Eagles will get into the pool starting at 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday's time is TBA. CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. - Asbury's men's and women's swim teams set off for the 2014 Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships on Wednesday morning. The event, which will take place at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center in Christiansburg, Va., runs from Thursday through Saturday evening.
For the first time in three season the Eagles will head somewhere other than Union College. Union hosted in their building the past two championships. In 2013, the men finished second behing Wheeling Jesuit (W.Va.) who will look to defend its men's title in this weekend's meet. The women took third behind Notre Dame (Ohio) who also looks to repeat on the women's side.

The Eagles' participation in the ASC Championships is the last tune up before the 2014 NAIA National Championships, which begin in Oklahoma City, Okla. on Mar. 5.
