Ehrenheim Brings Home NAIA Swimmer of the Month Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Trevor Ehrenheim of Asbury (Ky.) has been named the first NAIA National Men's Swimmer & Diver of the Month for the 2012 - 2013 season, the national office announced Wednesday. Ehrenheim was selected based on his performances in the months of October and November and was chosen out of a pool of candidates nominated by NAIA men's swimming & diving programs.
Ehrenheim won seven of his events in the past month at four separate meets. In a dual meet against NCAA Division II Transylvania (Ky.) on Oct. 27, Ehrenheim won the 100-meter backstroke (55.0) and 200-meter backstroke (2:00.61). He followed that up with a win in the 400-meter individual medley against Lindsey Wilson (Ky.). In a double dual against Union (Ky.) and Bethel (Tenn.) on Nov. 3, Ehrenheim won the 100 backstroke (54.18), 200 backstroke (1:58.63) and 200 IM (1:59.12).
The next Swimmer & Diver of the Month award will be announced on Jan. 30.
