Martin and Ehrenheim Named Capital One Academic All-Americans

Larissa MartinSenior Larissa Martin and junior Trevor Ehrenheim were named 2012 Capital One Academic All-American 2nd and 3rd team members in the College Division.  Both Martin and Ehrenheim are swimmers and competed at the NAIA National Championships in March.

Martin (Paris, Ky.) graduated in May with a degree in English and carried a 3.71 GPA into her final semester.  In her final season, Martin earned NAIA Honorable Mention All-American honors after finishing 4th in the 200 Butterfly at the national meet.  Martin also placed 11th in the 400 Individual Medley, 9th on the 400 Freestyle relay team and 10th on the 800 Freestyle relay team.  She was also a CSCAA All-American in the 200 Butterfly and an honorable mention selection in the other three events.  She leaves Asbury holding two records, in the 400 and 800 Freestyle relay events.

Trevor EhrenheimEhrenheim (Owensboro, Ky.) is a junior Business Management major, currently holding a 3.54 GPA.  At the NAIA National Meet Ehrenheim took 10th in the 200 Backstroke and as part of the 400 Freestyle relay team.  He went on to finish 12th in the 400 Individual Medley.  He is a three-time CSCAA All-American Honorable MentionEhrenheim currently holds the school record in the 200 IM, 200 Back, 400 Medley relay and 400 Free relay.

Ehrenheim and Martin are the first swimmers to be named Capital One Academic All-Americans and are the second and third honorees in school history.
