Eagles Take Three of Four at Centre

DANVILLE, Ky. – Asbury’s men swept a double dual meet with Centre and Lindsey Wilson while the women split on Friday night.  The men defeated Centre 78-25 and Lindsey Wilson 75-19.  The women defeated Lindsey Wilson 86-8 and lost to Centre 54-41.

Taryn Albright was the lone individual winner on the women’s side, taking the 100 butterfly in 1:00.68.  the women’s 400 medley relay also took first with a 4:12.62. 

On the men’s side the 400 medley relay and the 400 free relay took first place in 3:40.84 and 3:18.70.  Daniel Bowman won the 1000 free and 500 free while Friend Bechtel took the 200 free and Cody Barnes won the 50 free.  Barnes also won the 100 breast.  Tyler Decker took second behind Barnes in the 50 free.  Pat Armstrong won the 100 back and Trevor Ehrenheim won the 200 IM and placed second behind Barnes in the 100 breast.

Asbury will host their final home meet of the season today at 1 p.m. as Bethel (Tenn.), Campbellsville, St. Catharine and Urbana come to town.
