Swimming and Diving Schedule Released

WILMORE, Ky. – Asbury swimming and diving coach Alex Keyser has released the team’s meet schedule for 2011-12.  The Eagles will host four meets during the year including the Asbury Invitational on December 2-3.

This year’s NAIA National Championship Meet will take place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma starting on February 29^th and culminating on Saturday March 3^rd.  The Appalachian Swim Conference Meet will be hosted by Union (Ky.) College in Barbourville and will take place February 17-18.

The Eagles will host their first meet during Homecoming weekend, as they swim against the alumni for the second straight year.  The exhibition meet will take place on Saturday October 29^th.  The next weekend Asbury will host two dual meets on Friday November 4^th against Transylvania University and Saturday November 5^th against Union (Ky.).

Asbury kicks-off their season on Saturday October 15^th as they travel to Granville, Ohio to swim against NCAA Division II powerhouse Denison University.  Denison’s men are reigning national champions and the women were runners-up. 

The Eagles will also swim in the Woehnker Invitational hosted by Wabash College on November 18-19 and in the Centre Colonel Classic hosted by Centre College on January 13-14.  Asbury will host their last meet of the season on February 4^th as they welcome in Bethel (Tenn.) University, Campbellsville University and Urbana.
