Hood, Ritter Named Swimmers of the Week

Hood was named Swimmer of the Week after winning two races at the Christian College Invitational.Matt Hood and Sarah Ritter were named Appalachian Swim Conference male and female swimmers of the week after their performances at the Christian College Invitational. 

Hood (Sr., Beavercreek, Ohio) won the 50 and 200 yard freestyle events in times of 21.94 and 1:45.77.  He was also a second place finisher in the 100 free and helped lead the Eagles back to win the 200 yard medley relay with a split time of 20.7.

 

 

Ritter won the 100 free and 100 fly at the Christian College Invite.Ritter (Fr., Lafayette, Ind.) would also go on to win two events, taking the 100 yard free in 54.98 and the 100 fly in 1:00.23.  She would finish third in the 200 free with a time of 2:00.62.

The Appalachian Swim Conference is comprised of 15 schools from the NCAA II, NCAA III, and the NAIA.  Asbury will host an alumni meet during Homecoming weekend, October 30th at 10:30 am.
