Five Named To All-Conference Team for Men's Soccer

WILMORE, Ky. - Stephen Mitchell, Jesse Peterson, Austin O'Brien, Adam Howard, and Garrett Davis were all voted as All-Conference players for the KIAC by the conference coaches as announced Wednesday. All five players are making their first appearance in the awards for the KIAC.
Mitchell, a junior defender, adds to his awards list this season with his selection. Earlier this month, Mitchell was selected as a CoSIDA All-District Academic selection in District II for his work in the classroom. On the field, Mitchell was a stalwart part of the Eagles' defense as he started all 18 games he played in and scored three goals from his center-back position.
Teammate and first-year Eagle Austin O'Brien joins Mitchell in the backline selection. O'Brien did most of his damage early in the year in out-of-conference play as a forward, but finished the season in the backline, which caught the attention of the conference. O'Brien finished the season tied as the leading points-getter for the Eagles with his eight goals and eight assists.
Peterson, Howard, and Davis were the three selections for the Eagles on the attacking end. Davis' nine goals were a team high, as were Howard's eight assists. The trio combined to put up 24 goals and 15 assists on the season, causing havoc in the defensive third of their opponent's field.
The good news for the Eagles is each one is slated to return next season.
