Men's Soccer Drops Season Finale in Barbourville
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Asbury University Eagles' men's soccer team traveled to Barbourville, Ky., to take on the Union College Bulldogs in their final regular season game. They couldn't manage must offense in the game and failed to keep their hosts off the board in what turned into a 7-0 loss.
The Eagles' John Burns made six saves as he absorbed the loss.
Caleb Griffin and Jesse Peterson did their best to break onto the board for the Eagles, with a team-leading two shots each, but the Bulldogs' defense wouldn't budge as they collected their second shutout of the season.
The Eagles will await their postseason seeding for the conference playoffs. The seedings will be based primarily on the Modified RPI rating adopted by the NAIA this season and will take into account the five KIAC teams and Talladega College.
The dates for the tournament are set for November 5th, 7th and 9th. The games will be held at the higher seed's home site.
