Eagles Lose Heartbreaker to Brescia in 2 OT
OWENSBORO, Ky. - The Eagles and Bearcats traded three goal apiece through 90 minutes of play but it was the Bearcats who scored last, late in the second OT to secure the win 4-3.
Adam Howard tallied twice in his return from injury while Garrett Davis scored the other goal for the Eagles.
The Eagles seemed to control the play from the start, but miscommunications in the defensive end at points of the game led to the Bearcat tallies, and ultimately the Eagles' fourth loss on the season.
John Burns entered the game for an injured Griffin Appel in goal in the 38th minutes. Burns was tagged with the loss, his first decision of the season.
The Eagles look to regroup Friday at home against out-of-conference foe Ohio Christian at 7 p.m.
