Soccer Bounces Back With Victory Over Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Asbury men’s soccer bounced back after a disappointing loss to Cincinnati Christian on Tuesday with a 1-0 road victory over Georgetown on Saturday.

Asbury (9-3-2) scored the lone goal in the 6th minute as Jonathan Rehner knocked home his third goal of the season.  The Eagles’ nine victories are the most since the 2007 team went 9-12.  Asbury hasn’t had a double-digit victory campaign since 2005, and has had only two since 1981.

Dylan Fouts recorded his fourth shutout of the season and lowered his goals against average to 1.20 on the season.  His four shutouts are tied for the most by an Asbury keeper since 2005.

The Eagles will hit the road for the final time this season as they travel to Montreat College on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. match.
