Howard, Fouts Named KIAC Players of the Week

BEREA, Ky. -  Asbury University junior Dylan Fouts and freshman Adam Howard were named the KIAC men’s soccer defensive and offensive players of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, October 3rd. This is his second player of the week award on the season for Fouts and Howard becomes the fourth different Eagle to take home offensive player of the week honors this year.

 Asbury finished the week with a 2-0 record after defeating two conference opponents in Brescia University 8-2 and Berea College 7-1. The junior goalie only allowed 3 goals in 154 minutes but currently leads the conference with a 1.28 goals against average.

Howard recorded a hat-trick against Brescia, becoming the first Eagle to do so this season. The freshman midfielder also picked up an assist in the victory over Berea. He is currently tied for first in the conference with 16 points (six goals, four assists).

Asbury is currently 7-1-2 on the season with a 2-0 conference record. They will return to action on October 4th when they travel to Transylvania University.
