Fouts, Popp Take KIAC Honors

BEREA, Ky. - Asbury University juniors Dylan Fouts and Trent Popp were named the KIAC men’s soccer defensive and offensive players of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, September 19^th.

Asbury University finished the week with a 2-0 record after defeating Trevecca Nazarene University 2-1 and Marian College 2-0. Fouts recorded his third shutout of the season against Marian on September 17^th. He also recorded shutouts against Pikeville College and University of Saint Francis earlier in the season.

Popp scored the game-winning goal in both contests during the week which gives him three on the season.  He leads the team and KIAC in goals scored with six.

Asbury University is off to their best start in school history at 5-0-2. They will return to action on September 20^th when they travel to Hanover College.
