Men's Soccer Hosts Clinic in Lexington

Wilmore, KY – The Asbury University men’s soccer team recently visited the Cardinal Valley area of Lexington where they put on a youth soccer clinic at a local park.  The players took charge of the event passing out flyers and teaching skills.

The team was able to spend quality time with the group who was mainly 15 and under.  The Cardinal Valley area of Lexington mainly consists of lower income families and the team wanted to serve these people with the game of soccer.

Coach Andrews said, “The guys were really the leaders of this event.  They wanted to show Christ and they wanted to teach the game of soccer to these kids.  They took on a servant’s attitude and it was great to see.”

The players were able to pass out balls to the estimated 50 kids on hand.  Coach Andrews hopes to return with the team to teach more clinics in the future.
