Eagles Fall On The Road To Union 1-0

Box Score

Jackson, Tenn. - Asbury's men couldn't capitalize on their opportunities and Union University came away with a hard fought 1-0 victory over the Eagles.  Asbury played without starters Julian Botella and Evan Duszynski as well as Head Coach Josh Oakley who were all serving suspensions for cards in their previous match.

Asbury (4-11) missed a penalty kick and a one-on-one opportunity against Union's keeper in dropping their seventh straight non-conference match.  The Eagles didn't get a lot going on offense all night with only four shots compared to Union's 21.  Jonathan Lewis' penalty kick was saved by keeper Mike Phelan that spoiled Asbury's best scoring chance.  Jacob Cox had a chance with a one-on-one with Phelan but couldn't finish.

Union's lone goal came in the 62nd minute as Alysson Mohl beat Dylan Fouts.  Fouts played well in goal for the Eagles, saving eight shots but fell to 3-5 in goal.

Asbury will travel up to Charleston, Illinois to face Eastern Illinois University on Monday at 4:00 pm eastern time.  Live stats will be provided by EIU and the link can be found on Asbury's schedule and results page.  The Eagles will close out the regular season by hosting Campbellsville on Saturday October 31st at 7:00 pm during Homecoming Week.
