Redshirt freshmen Trent Popp (Danville, Ind.) scored his first collegiate goal as Nick Kerhoulas played a perfect ball up the left side after making a beautiful run. Popp gained control, took a touch and let loose. That goal in the 16th minute tied the score at 1-1.

Wilmington took possession of the ball for most of the first half, taking a 3-1 lead into halftime. Their third goal came on a penalty kick after senior captain John Greer was issued a yellow card for a take down inside the 18-yard box.

Asbury will return for an extended time for the first time all season, hosting their next three opponents. The next game for the Eagles will be on Wednesday against the University of the Cumberlands at 7:00 pm.
