Five Second Half Goals Doom Eagles

Wilmore, Ky. - Four goals in ten minutes were the difference as Asbury fell to Oakland City 5-1 on Wednesday night.  All six goals scored in the game came in the second half.

Asbury falls to 1-8 on the season as they struggled to contain the Mighty Oaks' attack after halftime.  OCU's first goal came off a free kick from 20 yards out in the 50th minute by Adem Ali.  Ali struck again off a corner in the 52nd minute, then assisted on the next two goals one each from Adam Richardville and Chris Brind in the 56th and 60th minutes.  Oakland City would add goal number five on the night in the 76th minute. 

The Eagles' lone goal came in the 86th minute as Sam Miller played a ball from the deep right corner to the back post and Paul Olliges headed it in for his first collegiate goal.  OCU out-shot Asbury by a total of 25-11, and took seven corner kicks to Asbury's three.

Asbury has the weekend off before they travel to Mid-Continent University on Tuesday September 29 for a 4:00 pm game.
