Soccer Recruit Named MVP of Disney Cup

Asbury recruit Zach Welch (Deland, Fla.) was named MVP of the Disney Cup International Youth Soccer tournament.  Zach was a guest player on the U-18 Florida Rush who won the tournament after giving up only one goal in five matches.  This year's tournament hosted teams from 13 countries including Germany, Brazil, United Kingdom, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the United States.

Welch is a central defender who played at Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, Florida.  He will play central defense for the Eagles under Coach Josh Oakley this fall as an incoming freshmen.
