Eagles Lose Title in Overtime

Bluefield, VA---The Asbury College men's soccer team suffered another heart breaking loss, this time in the KIAC Championship to Mountain State, 2-1 in overtime.  The

Eagles earned their way into the championship with a 3-0 victory over Berea on Wednesday night.

Asbury (5-13-1) got a goal from Jason U'Wren, but had another called back by the referee  The Eagles also played down two men after Seth Eckert received his second yellow card of the match just before halftime, and John Greer also received his second yellow later in the match.  

The Eagles finish their season with a seventh loss by one goal, including six of their last eight matches.  Asbury also suffered through injuries all season, losing Brent McGee after nine games with a broken arm and playing the whole season without top recruit Trent Pop who suffered a knee injury prior to the season.
