Men Fall in Overtime

Wilmore, KY--- The men's soccer team lost a heartbreaker on senior night 2-3 to Campbellsville in overtime.  Casey Clarke scored the winning goal for the Tigers with a minute left in the first overtime session.

Asbury (4-12-1) lost their seventh straight match, including four in a row by one goal.  The Eagles fell behind in the 27th minute when Camilo Muller scored off a cross from Casey Clarke.  Asbury would finally answer when Alasdair Wooffitt scored off a pass from Harrison Creech in the 51st minute.  Campbellsville was awarded a penalty kick in the 80th minute and Camilo Muller beat Asbury keeper Logan Faulkner to the left corner.

The Eagles would be awarded a penalty kick of their own in the 89th minute when Seth Eckert was pulled down in the box.  Harrison Creech stepped up and beat Campbellsville's keeper to the right side for the equalizer, forcing the extra session.

Asbury has now completed their regular season slate and will move on to the KIAC Tournament next week.  The Eagles will take on Cincinnati Christian who they beat earlier this season 3-0 at home.  The tournament will be hosted by Mountain State but played at Bluefield College.
