Men's Soccer squanders late lead, falls to Oakland City

Asbury would take a 1-0 lead in the 68th minute of the game on a Danny Winklepleck goal only to watch Oakland City respond with back-to-back goals late to defeat the Eagles, 2-1. The game was marred by physical play, resulting in a total of seven yellow cards for both teams, including two yellow cards for sophomore Brent McGee. With McGee sent off in the 85th minute, Asbury was forced to play a man down resulting in the Oakland City comeback.

The loss drops Asbury to 6-9 on the season with two regular-season games left. The men will travel to Cincinnati Christian on Tuesday afternoon, followed by the last regular-season home game against Milligan (Tenn.) on Saturday. Game time is set at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, immediately following the women's game, also against Milligan.
