Men's Soccer set back by Transy, 6-0

Asbury dropped a 6-0 decision to Transylvania on Wednesday night, making it their third loss in a row heading into Homecoming Weekend. The Eagles gave up a goal in the 10th minute by Transy's Stu Hampson. Asbury would try to respond, holding their own before a 23rd minute goal would carry Transy into the half with a 2-0 lead. Transy would come out strong in the second half, scoring in the 50th minute by Matt Vogel.

From there, the game simply got away from the team as two red card ejections were given to John Greer later in the 50th minute and Luke Temple in the 72nd minute, giving Transylvania a two-man advantage. The Pioneers would take advantage and tack on the three remaining goals for the final margin.

The men now move on to face Berea on Saturday as the final athletic event for 2007 Homecoming, kicking off against the Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m.
