Men's Soccer falls at Huntington
Asbury needed a quick start and junior Harrison Creech delivered with a goal in the first minute against Huntington (Ind.), giving the Eagles a quick 1-0 lead. The goal was Creech's fifth on the year, also representing Asbury's fourth goal scored by Creech in the team's last five goals overall.
The lead was short lived however, when Marc-Anthony William would equalize the game for the Foresters on a free kick. Rugged play continued from there as the Eagles would earn three yellow cards. The Foresters would earn a penalty shot in the 34th minute of the match, but a beautiful save by junior Cory Brown would keep the match tied at 1-1. That lift only lasted a minute as Huntington would finally put a ball home after the Eagles failed to clear the ball out of the defensive zone after the kick. The goal by Andrew Wust from Huntington would provide the final margin and drop Asbury to 3-5 on the season. The team returns home to face Georgetown (Ky.) on Tuesday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
