Brooks Paces Eagles in Fourth Place Finish
BARDSTOWN, Ky. - Steven Brooks finished the St. Catharine Invitational tournament in second place overall on Tuesday with his plus-3, two-round score of 147.
After sitting in third place after Day 1, Brooks fired an even par 72 on Day 2 to finish by himself in sole possession of second place. Campbellsville's Ryan Botts finished just two shots ahead of Brooks with a final score of 145 at plus-1.
Zach Lemons turned in the second best score for the Eagles with a 159 over two days. Lemons bounced back from a 10-over performance on Day 1 to a Day 2 performance that was just five-over.
Mason Carter and Daniel Gibbons rounded out the Eagles' scorers with totals of 163 and 173, respectively.
As a team, Day 2 was much better for the Eagles' squad. As a team, they played to a score that was 21 shots better than their total from Day 1 (330).
The tournament was the Eagles' last tournament of the fall season and will get back out on the course in the spring.
