Men's Golf Takes Berea Invite
BEREA, Ky. – Asbury men’s golf won the Berea Fall Invitational on Friday afternoon at Battlefield Golf Club with a team score of 294. The Eagles outdistanced KIAC rival Brescia by five strokes.
Luke Rose was the top medalist in the one-day tournament, shooting a three under 69. This is the second straight tournament where an Eagle has claimed the top spot. Daniel Gibbons won the last tournament and finished second today with a 70. Zach Lemons finished third on the team with a 77 and Jordan Wood rounded out the scoring with a 78. Steven Brooks shot an 82 and Kaiser DeKam, playing as an individual, shot a 78.
The Eagles will finish out the fall with two more tournaments, each a two-day event. First they will travel to Bardstown for the St. Catharine Fall Invite on Monday and Tuesday before finishing up the fall season at Union College on October 22-23.
