Lemons Tied for Lead After Day One

LemonsNICHOLASVILLE, Ky. – After the first day of competition at the Asbury Spring Invitational, Asbury sits in fourth place with a team score of 336. Leading the team field is the University of Northern Ohio with a score of 315. Indiana Tech’s 328 have them sitting in second, and Brescia University (B)’s 330 puts them in third.  

The Eagles’ Zach Lemons shot an opening round 75. Lemons’ 75 has him tied for the tournament lead with Mark Zaeneke of Indiana Tech. Lemons’ round was highlighted by two birdies. He also leads the tournament field in pars, recording 11 for the day.

In addition to Lemons’ 75, the Eagles recorded the following scores; Daniel Gibbons an 82, Brooks Toole an 88, and Zach Burr a 91.

Asbury will look move up in the field tomorrow. Second round competition of the Asbury Spring Invitational will begin with a shot-gun start at 12:30 p.m.
