Rose Leads Eagles to 4th at Georgetown
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Asbury men placed fourth at the Georgetown College Invitational at Cherry Blossom Golf Course on Tuesday, wrapping up the two-day tournament with a team score of 639. Reinhardt University won the event with a 599.
Asbury’s Luke Rose took all-tournament honors after shooting a 149 and placing fourth overall. Rose shot a 74 on the first day which was tied for the fifth best score and came back with a 75 on the second day. Zach Lemons also shot a 75 on the second day but an 83 on the first day pushed him towards the middle of the pack in a tie for 18th.
Reinhardt’s Zach Lindsey and Justin Osborne tied for the best score with a 145, just one over par for the event. Asbury’s Daniel Gibbons and Jordan Wood finished 21st and 27th respectively after shooting scores of 159 and 163 for the event.
The Eagles will host their fall event on Thursday at Connemara Golf Club in Nicholasville. The event will start at 1 p.m.
