Eagles Runners Compete in Cold, Blustery National Championships
LAWRENCE, Kan. - Taylor Diehl, Katy Falkenberg, and Justine Vonderheide competed in Saturday's NAIA National Championships meet in Lawrence, Kan., and turned in some good times despite the cold, blustery conditions.
Katy Falkenberg came in as the top finisher for all the KIAC runners in the race with a personal-best time of 19:39. Her 159th place finish was good enough to be in the top half of the runners at the meet.
Teammate Justine Vonderheide finished her race with a time of 20:51 and in 255th place.
On the men's side, Taylor Diehl also turned in a personal best time of 28:26. He placed 293rd overall.
The race concludes the 2013 Cross Country season for Asbury.
