Eagles Place 20th in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Asbury men’s and women’s cross country teams placed 20th at the Greater Louisville Invitational Silver Division race at E.P. Tomy Sawyer State Park on Saturday.  The men were 20th out of 29 teams and the women 20th out of 28.

Jarred Brewster continues to pace the men with a 28th place finish in the men’s 8K race.  Brewster’s time of 27:12 is his fastest of the season.  Eric Sanders and Tyler Zweifel finished 137th and 139th while Ben Adams and Forrest Stratford were 161st and 166th.

Sarah Moe and Maddi Ury led the women with 84th and 85th placements and near identical times of 21:57 and 21:58 in the women’s 5K.  Dria Stallings placed 96th with Chelsea Parsons and Beth Crist placing 107th and 118th.

Both teams will take the next week off from competition before heading to Wilmington, Ohio on Friday October, 15th.
